What is CueTea?
CueTea is an app for verified college students, 18 and older. It has an anonymous campus feed (the tea), Spotted moments on a campus map, polls, and a crush list that only tells you when it's mutual, every Monday at 9 pm campus time. You post to your own campus and can read every other one.
Who can join CueTea?
Anyone 18 or older with a college email. Addresses ending in .edu, .edu plus a country code (like .edu.in) or .ac plus a country code (like .ac.in or .ac.uk) work. You sign in with a 6-digit code sent to that email. Alumni addresses don't work, and some schools' staff addresses are refused.
Which campuses are on CueTea?
Every campus opens with its first verified student, so any school with a college email can join. Campuses already listed in the app include, in the US: Brown, BU, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Michigan, MIT, Northeastern, Northwestern, NYU, Penn, Princeton, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UChicago, UCLA, USC, UT Austin, Yale; and in India: Ashoka University, BITS Goa, BITS Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, O.P. Jindal Global University, SRM Delhi-NCR, SRM KTR, SRM Ramapuram, SRM Trichy, SRM Vadapalani, VIT Chennai, VIT Vellore. Students at schools with several campuses on one email domain, like SRM and VIT, pick their campus once at sign-up.
Can anyone see who posted?
No. Posts, replies and polls show no name, and no one can see who posted, including people with CueTea Pass. CueTea keeps a private link from each post to the account that wrote it, only to enforce the rules and to let you delete your own posts. Posts that include names, @handles, emails or phone numbers are blocked before they go live.
What can other students see about me?
Your profile details are optional: display name, class year, major, dorm, clubs and photos. They show only to people at your campus, in Browse and crush search, never on your posts, and you can hide yourself from search. Your campus card in Crushes is off until you turn it on; people you block, or who block you, never see it.
How much does CueTea cost?
CueTea is free, and finding a mutual crush on Monday is free. CueTea Pass shows who added or picked you. In the US it is $2.99 a week, $7.99 a month or $39.99 a year. At campuses in India it is a one-time ₹59 for 7 days, ₹99 for 30 days or ₹499 a year, and it never renews. Your prices follow your verified campus, not where you are.
Can I buy Pass on the website?
No. Pass is sold only inside the CueTea iOS and Android apps, through the App Store or Google Play. The web app at cuetea.app/app never asks for payment. The iOS and Android apps are not in the App Store or Google Play yet.
How does CueTea keep people safe?
Tap ⋯ on any post or reply to report it or block the person. Reports are anonymous, and posts reported by several people are hidden automatically until they are reviewed. If a post is about you, tap ⋯ → This is about me: it is hidden right away while a person reviews it, within 24 hours. New photos and videos may wait for review before others see them. Daily Pick and The Crowning are opt-in, and their prompts are about kindness, humour and talent, never looks. Read the community guidelines and child safety standards.
Is CueTea affiliated with any university?
No. CueTea is independent and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any university.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. It is deleted straight away. Without the app, email [email protected] from your college email. Details are on the delete your account page.
